Intro
Words carry immense power, and the communication of large political and socio-economic issues to the public in a digestible way through well-reported journalism is something I’m very passionate about. I'm a journalist, photographer, and writer from the midwest interested in the intersections of national (and international) politics and culture.

Recent Work
The following are the most recent clips from my three years at The Berkeley Beacon, Emerson College’s student-run newspaper. I’ve done fast-paced stories on protests and press releases and I’ve done longer stories on Public Records Requests and 990 tax forms. There is a human element to every story, and I do my best to capture that in my work. The majority of my clips in the past year have surrounded the Emerson-Marlboro merger, a tumultuous college merger deal that had bumps and twists throughout its negotiation, all of which I covered.

My CV
I got roped into journalism by accident. A friend needed a photo for the newspaper at my last college, and he knew I had a camera. By the end of the year, I was editor of that paper. I fell in love with the thrill of the newsroom and the duty felt to bring stories to people in a succinct and truthful way.
Since coming to Emerson in 2018, I have been a correspondent and a staff writer and eventually rose to be Assistant Express Editor and Senior Marlboro Reporter at The Beacon.
I have reported on a whole host of issues, but the bulk of my reporting has been on the tumultuous Emerson-Marlboro merger.
I’m currently based in Boston, but am willing to relocate for an opportunity in a professional newsroom.
